THIS MESSAGE IS FOR ALBANY HIGH SCHOOL STAFF ONLY
The move to become a community school is part of Albany High’s plan to boost student performance across the board. The plan is a result of a 2015 state law designed to kick-start improvement in schools where overall student scores on state tests significantly lag behind other schools in the state. The law requires struggling schools to either improve or face an outside takeover. Community schools bring together, under one roof, services that meet the needs of students and families. The services could include but are not limited to health, mental health, and dental health, legal and social services. The services would be available during school and possibly evenings and weekends.
Your input is critical to our efforts to determine the services to offer. Please take a few minutes to fill out the following survey.
